Ultra Music Festival is an outdoor electronic music event held annually in Miami, Florida during the Winter Music Conference which occurs annually during the month of March. It is a 2-day event that takes place across 12 different stages featuring over 200 artists, DJs, producers and promoters.
Ultra Music Festival will celebrate it's 10th anniversary taking place on Friday, March 28th and Saturday March 29th, 2008 in downtown Miami. The artist line up for the event is as follows:
Friday - PHASE ONE: Tiesto, Carl Cox, Justice, Rabbit in the Moon, Danny Tenaglia, Richie Hawtin, Steve Lawler, BT, Josh Wink, James Zabiela, M.A.N.D.Y., Erol Alkan, Boys Noize, Dirty South, Deadmau5, Jackal and Hyde, Monk, Kevens and Audiofly.
Saturday - PHASE TWO: Paul van Dyk, Carl Cox, Armin Van Buuren, Sasha and John Digweed, David Guetta, Benny Benassi, DJ Dan and Donald Glaude, Layo & Bushwacka!, Fedde LeGrand, Andy C + MC GQ, Planet of the Drums (AK1200, Dieselboy and MC Messinian, Goldie, Dillinja and Lemon D, Fabio , Shy FX, Ed Rush + Optical, DJ Fresh and MC Ivory, Photek, Adam F and Francisco Rossi.
Once again UMF 10 is the Official closing party of WMC 2008.
From 2000 to 2005, UMF was held outdoors in Bayfront Park, Miami. The first three UMFs (1998, 1999, & 2000) were actually held on South Beach, however UMF attendance exceeded the possible beach permits and was subsequently moved to the venue of Bayfront Park. The top DJs and artists of the evening perform in the amphitheater designed to hold thousands of attendees. There is a second main stage (called the 'Sound stage') and 10 other specialized music areas scattered throughout the park featuring Drum and Bass, House, Techno, Electro, Breakbeats, Trance, and other various styles of electronic music.
